I'm excited to share my journey from a shy graduate to a triumphant entrepreneur, a voyage marked by resilience, growth, and triumph. In the recently published Successful Women Magazine I’m honoured to have had the opportunity to share my story alongside 6 other powerful women I was privileged o tatted a leadership retreat in Vietnam early this year.

 In 1980, fresh out of a Gold Coast school, my aspirations leaned towards university. However, destiny guided me into banking per my father's advice. Overcoming my shyness, I secured a job within two weeks, a pivotal choice that set a pattern of courage for times to come.

Navigating the male-dominated banking sector, I learned the power of initiative and the importance of asserting oneself. A branch manager's praise for my consistent effort, despite varying results, became a guiding principle, instilling in me a fervour for taking charge.

 Life threw unexpected challenges my way. Losing my husband to a car accident, I navigated grief while caring for my daughter. A subsequent health scare tested my resilience. These experiences unveiled the strength within us when faced with adversity.

 Transitioning to entrepreneurship, I aimed to make a difference. Triumphs were celebrated, setbacks endured, and lessons learned. Collaborating with larger competitors emphasised the significance of teamwork and the power of partnerships.

 My journey highlights the importance of seeking guidance and support. I invite aspiring entrepreneurs to connect with me for mentorship or to enrol in the Her Transformation Program. Together, we can navigate challenges and celebrate victories.
