Round 4 Details

• Stage 1: Registration of Interest (ROI) opens 24 November 2022

• Stage 2: Full application opens 12 December 2022 (selected ROI applicants only)

Each round of the Business Basics grants program has specific information to help you prepare and apply for a grant, and if successful, manage your grant.

The Business Basics grants program provides support to businesses to increase core skills and adopt best practice.

This support includes funded activities in 5 priorities:

1. Training and coaching

2. Website build or upgrades

3. Professional business advice

4. Strategic marketing services

5. Business continuity and succession.

Detailed eligibility criteria

To be eligible for this grant, your business must:

• not have been approved for funding under Round 1, 2 or 3 of the Business Basics grants program

• have fewer than 20 employees (by headcount) at the time of applying for the grant

• have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST

• have headquarters in Queensland

• have an expected turnover of $300,000 or less in the last financial year (2021–22)

• not have owners/directors that are insolvent or undischarged bankrupt.

Application process

Registrations of Interest (ROIs) open at 9am on Thursday, 24 November 2022 and close at 11.59pm, Monday 5 December 2022.

ROIs are not time sensitive, and registrations can be completed anytime while the stage is open. Not all registrations will be invited to submit a full application. You will not be able to appeal if your registration is not selected to move to Stage 2.

Process

If successful, the Applicant must:

• Commence the Grant funded activity within one month of the Approval Date. Provision of the Grant to You will be subject to and conditional upon Your compliance with the Funding Agreement

• Complete the Grant funded activity within six months of the Approval Date, unless otherwise agreed in writing by DESBT;
