What is the world like in 2022? The answer to that question changes every day, and it will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. As we face an uncertain future, it’s important to realise that there are things you can control and things you cannot. For better or worse, this means adapting your business strategy accordingly.
No one knows what the future holds, so it’s important to have a diverse range of strategies.
Business owners have been supported financially by Government, however, there’s a downside. Now we don’t disagree with what the government did because they’ve had to due to the lockdown scenario. When you’re telling someone they can’t leave their house then you do have to allow them to live some way. Most people that haven’t got a lot of experience in business will struggle.
When you are telling people to stay at home, which is terrible for their mental state and then add to that by giving them money. It creates a double negative and a double negative equal a positive. It is a really terrible situation where you’ve got a cluster of people that have not done the work in the last 20 months. And so, the way the government has structured this we’ve really set ourselves up for a lot of chaos going forward.
Positively, those that know how to make money have made a lot of money in the last 20 months because in Australia there’s been $6 billion a week printed, and it’s only just starting to taper off now, $6 billion a week added to our monetary system for over a year.
And this floats to the top, to the people that know how to capture that. You’ve got the vast majority who don’t know how to do anything with it and therefore have passed it on to those businesses that have done the work.
They’ve adapted, they’ve adjusted, they’ve seen where the market is at, who is spending money, where they’re spending money, and those people have now captured a huge amount of additional wealth in the last 20 months.
These business owners with a good understanding of what’s going on have a plan and they continue to execute that plan. Those with no knowledge or whose heads are down just hoping things will change don’t know how to adjust their business strategy, so they’re struggling.
What can you do to make sure your business is one of the successes in 2022?
The answer lies in adaptation.
Be open to change, be willing to experiment, and most importantly, be proactive in seeking out opportunities. Keep an eye on the market, identify trends and changes early, and act fast to take advantage of them.
The new normal in 2022 is uncertain, but one thing remains certain: nothing will remain the same. If you’re in business and you want to start a business, you’re entrepreneurial or you’ve got a growth mindset, anytime in the future is a great time to start a business.
If you think now’s a bad time to start a business do not start the business because you’re not seeing or you’re not connecting the dots between the market and whatever it is that you’re wanting to start.
We are going to put twice as much content out there;

We aren’t going back to 2019 – it’s gone.
