Let’s Talk About Money

Forgive me for being forward, but there’s something I need to clear up.

There’s a common misconception that money makes money; that one needs to come from an elite background or be given a head start or silver spoon to be able to make it in life, while the rest of us are destined for somewhere between poverty and the upper middle class.

Truthfully, anyone can generate funds if they have a sense of resourcefulness and if they know what to do with it. ANYONE.

The difference between those who have reached a certain level of financial freedom and those who continually struggle throughout their lives is simple: knowledge.

Having knowledge isn’t about the textbook you read at school or the dusty degree in your cupboard. It’s about continually expanding your knowledge everyday for the rest of your life. In particular, financial knowledge will safeguard you through any downturn, market crash or personal crisis. What you have between your ears can never be lost. The ability to make money through resourcefulness and a refined sense for opportunity can never be replaced.

Ingenuity will always be your best ally, but never more so than right now.

Last week, we dived into nine ways to make money during iso. Whilst making money during this time is certainly ideal, it’s important to highlight here that making money just for the sake of making money isn’t going to get you anywhere. What you DO with that money is going to set the foundations that will change your life forever.

According to Ryan Hart, nearly one third of lottery winners will eventually declare bankruptcy. Financial intelligence is like a thermostat – regardless of your income at any given time, we each have a financial setting to which we return. That is, of course, UNLESS you break the mould and educate yourself.

So, once you’ve attained some spare cash, what then?

Invest in your mind via books, courses, media subscriptions, classes, masterclasses, technology – anything that makes you more valuable as a human.

Every dollar you spend can be one of two things – wasted or invested – and the best way to invest is to invest in yourself.
